Delete Your SprigLoom Account

1. How to request deletion

You can delete your SprigLoom account at any time, from the mobile app, the web app, or by email. You do not need an active subscription or sign-in to request deletion — if you cannot log in, email us and we will verify and process the request manually.

  • In the mobile app: open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm.
  • On the web: sign in and go to Dashboard → Settings, then choose Delete account.
  • By email: write to privacy@sprigloom.com from the address tied to your account.

2. What happens after you request deletion

When you confirm deletion, your account enters a 30‑day grace period. During this window you can cancel the request by signing in — nothing is permanently removed yet. Your profile is hidden from other users immediately.

After 30 days, the deletion is finalized automatically and cannot be reversed.

3. Data that is deleted

  • Profile data: name, username, bio, avatar, profile photos.
  • Email address, phone number, and password credentials.
  • Private messages, conversations, and direct-message threads.
  • Journal entries and personal notes.
  • Device identifiers, push tokens, and session data.
  • Connected third-party identities (Google/Apple sign-in links).

4. Data that is retained (and why)

A small set of records is retained to meet legal, tax, and community-integrity obligations. Where retained, your identity is replaced with an anonymous ghost user so records cannot be linked back to you.

  • Marketplace orders & payment records— retained for up to 7 years to satisfy tax and accounting rules.
  • Public community contributions(variety entries, reviews on completed orders) — retained but reassigned to an anonymous user to preserve marketplace trust signals for other members.
  • Moderation & abuse records— retained where required to protect other users.

5. Deleting specific data without closing your account

You do not need to delete your account to remove specific pieces of data. From within SprigLoom you can delete the following at any time, and the removal is permanent:

  • Journal entries— open any entry and choose Delete.
  • Marketplace listings— remove an active or draft listing from My listings.
  • Photos & attachments— delete individual images from the entry, listing, or profile they are attached to.
  • Messages— delete individual messages or an entire conversation thread.
  • Profile fields— clear your bio, avatar, location, and other optional profile fields in Dashboard → Settings.
  • Linked sign-in providers— unlink Google or Apple sign-in from account settings.

If the data you want removed is not covered above, email privacy@sprigloom.com and we will process the request within 30 days.

6. Questions
